This year Aamir came to speak to our parents about Kahani and they were all eager to get on board. We purchased hundreds of books to liven up our library and bring to our children their own culture into text. These have been a massive hit with the children and the impact of a love for reading is plain to see as the children sit immersed and engrossed in the texts but more so telling is our reading KS2 test results 90% at level 4 plus and KS1 96% level 2+, the best results we have had in the last 4 years.

The school has been involved with this innovative project for over two years and there is no doubt it has inspired children and encouraged parents to take a more active part in their children’s learning. This project has had a real impact in encouraging and developing reading within the home. Many books with a global dimension which have been carefully chosen by Aamir are now available for both parents and children to take home.
